The Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action serve as a profound reminder of the work required to mend relationships with Indigenous communities. They challenge us to critically examine historical injustices and commit to systemic changes that honour Indigenous rights and perspectives. Embracing these calls means engaging in lifelong learning, fostering cultural humility, and integrating Indigenous ways of knowing into our personal and professional lives. By actively participating in this journey, we contribute to a more equitable and inclusive society where the truths of the past inform a reconciled future. As a teacher, I aim to incorporate and celebrate Indigenous voices, stories and traditions in my classroom. https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/british-columbians-our-governments/indigenous-people/aboriginal-peoples-documents/calls_to_action_english2.pdf
